Sup homeboys and homegirls. Man its' been a while since my last post, mainly because I have been busy, but also because I have been lazy. but alas, here's my recent transpirings...
1. My semester is over. I survived my first semester of Seminary. And I think that I am getting off to a much better start grade wise than I did at HPU. unless I am mistaken when I see my final grades, I think I might get A-B honor roll, which doesn't mean much when you are working on a Masters degree. But I will be looking forward to this break from classes (ONE MONTH BABY!!!)
2. I am currently reading THE RAGAMUFFIN GOSPEL, by Brendan Manning. Man talk about good reading. We so much believe about God's grace in theory, but don't live it out in our life. Definately a book to add to your library.
3. My grandmother is in the hospital again, and she has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Guys, it doesn't look good for her. I really don't know how much longer she has to live, but I am hoping to at least spend one more Christmas with her. Pray for me and my family on this. Thanks.
4. I am going to the Dallas - Kansas City game on Sunday. WOOHOO for LIVE FOOTBALL!!!! and only $100 a pop for the tickets. Man the NFL IS EXPENSIVE!!!THE Dallas OL better not let KC's D get to Drew, or I will be mad. We basically have to win this game to have any shot of winning the division, plus have the Giants lose a couple of games as well. We might as well kiss Home Field out the window.
5. I experienced a first last Saturday. I got to ride in an ambulance. Yeah, that's right, you read it correctly. I had to go to the hospital after throwing up 4 times in less than two hours, and feeling extremely weak. I think it was a combination of food poisoning and a stomach virus that did me in. Plus, having a ham and cheese omelet at IHOP after work on Friday then playing the whole game at my Flag Football playoff game nine hours later didn't really help either.
6. God rocks!!! He is ever so faithful.

Well, that's about it. If anyone of you DFW peeps from HPU want to hang out over the break, then give me a ring or contact me on here and I will see what I can do for us to hang out.

God bless

I am SO WEIRD!!!

Hey Peeps,
I hope everyone is enjoying their time off from classes and getting ready for the annual turkey feast!!! I know i am. I think that after what happened to me yesterday, that I have officially become the weirdest person on the face of the planet. For those who don't know me that well, I make so many weird and random comments, and do weird and random things, if you don't believe me, just ask my roommate. He can vouch for me. But here's my story...

I went to work yesterday (Monday), and at the beginning of every shift, we as a crew get ready for work by doing some stretches, so you know, we don't pull anything while we work. But as I was going down to touch my toes, I noticed something interesting and then asked myself this question... HOW STUPID CAN SOME BE TO NOT PUT ON THE SAME PAIR OF SHOES!!!

Well people, I found out the answer to that... I AM!!! Yep, On my left foot was my work tennis shoe, and on my right foot was my nice tennis shoe that I wear to seminary. Yep, I had a dirty old white/grey (from oil, grease, and dirt) on my left foot, and a Nice, clean, Blue and yellow shoe on my right foot. Immediately, I start busting out laughing. Laughing so hard, that waterfalls start falling out of my eyes. Right when I laugh, three people notice my fashion statement, and they started laughing at me as well.

It made my day!!!! But seriously, I am going to feel sorry for my future wife for having to put up with my stupidity. lol...

That was my random, stupid moment of the day!!!

Peace out, my homies!!!

God bless,
nick
